Terms of Service

Last updated: August 20, 2026

The short, honest version: Meanwhile is a small, early-stage, single-developer product, not a company with a legal team. These terms describe exactly what the code actually does — no more, no less. If something here ever changes, we'll change it here first, not quietly in the code.

1. What Meanwhile is

Meanwhile is a status-line integration for Claude Code, GitHub Copilot CLI, and VS Code. Once installed, it shows a small line of text — usually a tip, occasionally a clearly labeled "(sponsored)" line — while your tool is working. Developers who run it earn a share of sponsor revenue; companies can pay to have a line shown.

2. For developers

3. For advertisers

4. No warranty

Meanwhile is provided as-is, run by one person as an early-stage product. We don't promise uptime, don't promise the service will exist indefinitely, and don't promise it's free of bugs. If we ever decide to shut the service down, we'll honor outstanding developer balances and refund undelivered advertiser impressions as described above, on a best-effort basis.

5. Changes to these terms

If these terms change in a way that affects what you're owed or what's expected of you, we'll update this page and, where we have a way to reach you (a registered payout or advertiser email), let you know.
